Volunteer
The success of OIRF and its mission relies largely on the participation of volunteers.
- Greet visitors at the Oldest House and Garden and show them through the museum
- Be a docent for one or more of the home tours. Each house requires from 5 to 15 docents for a 3-4 hour period to take tickets and describe the home to visitors
- Join a committee and help plan annual events and fundraisers, prepare mailings to the membership, or deliver brochures and posters
At the end of each season, a party is held in the gardens of the Oldest House to honor those who have volunteered their time and energies to the various projects.
